About This Piece

The peg rail is one of the most honest pieces of furniture ever made. The Shakers used them throughout their homes — coats, chairs, baskets, tools — everything had a place. This is our version: a solid shelf sitting above a run of turned pegs, mounted on a shaped backboard with bracket supports at each end.

Made in solid tulipwood in our Suffolk workshop and hand painted in your chosen Mylands of London colour. The pegs are turned individually and set at a slight upward angle so things stay put. The shelf above gives you a useful surface for keys, candles, or anything that needs to be within reach.

Works equally well in a hallway, kitchen, boot room, or bathroom.
